After blue scooping 10 or so inches of snow (shoveling) at both the house and shop this morning.. decided, “hey why not lay down some epoxy” 😆. Good idea? Maybe, maybe not. Temp in the shop was around 20° to start but the wood stove got’r up to +70° in just an hour or two. We shall see how the epoxy sets up! 🙏🏻 praying it does well but may bring it home to help speed things up either way. Have a good week friends and family!!

Spent this week finishing up these maple boards for and her class where she teaches others how to do a wood burning design on their own cutting board! We’ll be delivering these soon so if you’re around Snohomish county, be sure to check out Crystal’s class schedule. 🙌🏻

We love being able to connect with other local artists and support what they’re doing as well. The maker community sure is a tight one of amazing people.

It is always fun to have friends stop by and get a tour of my shop and a sneak peek at projects and new boards in the works!
Since it was single digits when we arrived this morning, we included our “heater” in the tour this morning; we’re pretty sure it was Amy’s favorite place to stand!

As a creative, it always means so much to share the process and detail that goes into each item with others. That’s why we share more of the process in our stories; hope you enjoy seeing them and much as we enjoy sharing!

Each board is hand crafted with care for a few weeks before it is show ready. The process from selecting the perfect woods to designing a pattern and then shaping, sanding, and oiling all take intention.

Quality products that have been cared for from start to finish are becoming more rare; I am thankful to be a trusted resource for your heirloom, artisan items.

With proper care, these can last generations. That’s what makes them a perfect gift for families and new home owners as we can engrave their name on the items!

This one will be ready to ship soon so DM is for purchasing options!

Let me introduce myself - I am Tyler Rice and I am the sole owner and maker here. This small business allows me to be creative, work with my hands, and make things that people can love for generations.

I was raised to value the quality of people, places, and products above quantity and I strive to embody that today in my work.
Each board is a custom, one-of-a-kind creation made with traditional and exotic woods that I obtain locally through purchase or reclaiming.

I am thankful for my family, community, church, and the saving grace of God. I have a vision to be a leader for the younger generations and hope to teach classes in the future; to share my skills and lessons.

THANK YOU to each of you who engage with my posts, share my small business, and those who support me with a purchase. You all bring me joy and help my little Cashmere dream keep going!

Well, I’m off to make some more boards to get everyone their Christmas orders! Let us know if you have a vision for the perfect gift; we’d love to help. ☺️

The “back fence” getting a little TLC this week. The rest may need to go soon but it should be plenty strong now to make it to next summer.

Happy to have this new fence up. On to the next project!
