Sadly it is time we part ways with our coffee table (not my choice) this is legitimately a coffee table, zoom in and you’ll see the coffee beans. It is a custom river table however it was not made by us. This was made by another local woodworker. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit our aesthetic in our house anymore (allegedly) so we figured we’d offer it here first. We have had it for years and it really is a conversation piece. We’re looking for $400 here before we offer it on market place. If you’ve ever looked into getting a river table you know that this is a great deal. Message me if you’re interested!

Happy Labor Day from Rustic Roots! We’ve been slacking on posting so here’s a little photo dump. We’ve been busy with fulfilling custom orders and we’ve had some great ideas so far. Some personal firsts and some sentimental. A few I want to highlight briefly First we had a massive gas stove cover which doubles as a huge cutting board. This made out of beautiful maple and walnut with a big juice groove all the way around and some handles on the side. This was a first for us but something we have wanted to tackle for a long time. Next was the biggest end grain cutting board we have ever made. It didn’t fit in our planer so we had to build it in sections. Beautiful end grain cherry and walnut in a checkered pattern. Juice groove and some brass feet topped this board off nicely. Lastly we had our typical stove cover with our “patina” look. The customers father had some mahogany from her father who passed away and wanted me up implement it some how. I put a few thin strips on the board which actually tied in very nicely. I used the rest of it to make a very very nice coat hanger with some antique fixtures the customer provided. We thank everyone for the support and I love the challenge! Keep them comin!

Major upgrade in the shop! I told my self before I left that I would invest in a brand new table saw when I got home. So here it is! The saw I was using before was an old delta from the 80s I bought off of market place. This old saw served me well as it had a hand in almost everything I made including the table that is sitting right behind it. The motor on it finally gave out right before I left last year. Although it was a great saw it was very challenging for me to make accurate cuts with the fence that was on it, taking me a lot longer to make sure my fence was straight. Now I should be able to make super accurate cuts in just a few seconds. Stay tuned were are making some changes and we have some big news coming soon! Thank you for not bailing on us!
