SEARCH. DISCOVER. ASK. CONNECT.

Sunday, August 30th — Vintage Pop Up

Each week, I rack my brain trying to make it interesting.
For every item I advertise, there are 4 more that I don’t.
So you just never know what you might find.
Curious minds will bring you “here” on autopilot. 😉

So, my simple ask:
What do you need? What are you searching for?
Or what don’t you necessarily need but simply WANT?
A replacement for a broken glass… a missing “piece”… a pretty bowl or a bauble… teacups, statues, vintage kitchen, art glass, compacts, vintage purses, MCM, Bakelite, Meissen, Amphora… vintage textiles?

Over the last month, I’ve had the joy of fulfilling some very specific requests—or simply having what someone was looking for: an antique doll used to restore her heart broken doll, two antique golf bags with clubs (sorry son),
Ruby red glass. sterling-overlay perfumes. Laurel Burch earrings. vintage compacts. An ashtray collection. Buck Rogers toys. Clip earrings. Beads and parts. Buttons. Estate pieces. California pottery. Fire-King Jadeite. An old book for a middle school student. A hanky for a bride-to-be…
The list goes on.
Each one brought me a smile—and, to be honest, helped pay the rent.

But what truly fills my heart isn’t the monetary transaction.
It’s encouraging shoppers—and especially kids—to engage, ask questions.. . tap their curiosity.
You’ve all heard me tell kids, if your PARENTS want to see or touch something, have them ask ! So often, a parent’s intimidating words, “don’t touch” stifles their curiosity.

I 💚 “What’s this?”
A Canon printing calculator!
A potato masher.
An atlas.
A change maker.
A “stapled” tea cup saucer (old fashioned repair)
A Typewriter.
A road map.
A grocery advertising bag handle c 1900
A TV GUIDE
A rotary phone….
Postcards.
Carbon paper.
Old cell phone.
Talking trends with the twenty-somethings opens my eyes, too.
It reminds me of when I was their age…my Stevie Nicks, bohemian days… and a stiff realty check, I’m a 70 something.
Today, it’s Lo**ta. Moto Boho. And Gen Z is engaging.

More times than not, YOU teach me something.
Sometimes, it’s the search itself that makes it challenging.

My list of “founds” goes on and on.
Yes, the “search” is what YOU say you love. 💚
But sometimes, another pair of eyes is exactly what’s needed.
If you’re a collector, you know exactly what I mean.
It was another dealer who finally found a replacement globe for my fixture… a missing teaspoon for a set that I bought without one.

Feel free. Text me your list.
Come by just to chat… many of you have met at these events…
It is sort of a bonding thing.

No purchase necessary.
Experience the experience.

Sunday, August 30th. Come curious.
You just never know.

P.S. FB Messenger doesn’t seem to be working for me…
a text or old fashion call will do.
