Today is one of those days that’s hard to put into words.

Closing up this space is incredibly bittersweet. These empty floors and bare walls hold so many memories. What started as a little candle shop became so much more than a store—it became a place where friendships were made, stories were shared, milestones were celebrated, and community was built.

For many years, you walked through these doors not just as customers, but as friends. You supported my dream, believed in my products, and allowed me to be a small part of your homes, your holidays, your gifts, and your lives. For that, I will always be grateful.

Thank you to every single person who stopped in, shopped small, shared a kind word, attended an event, or simply cheered me on. Your support meant more than you’ll ever know.

While it’s difficult to close this chapter, I’m choosing to focus on the gratitude I feel for everything this little shop gave me. The memories, the lessons, the relationships, and the incredible community we’ve built will stay with me forever.

This may be the end of this storefront, but it’s not the end of my story. New adventures are ahead, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

From the bottom of my heart… thank you for making this little shop so much more than four walls.

With love and gratitude,
Kiki ❤️

After 8 incredible years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to The Rusty Flame.

This little business has been so much more than candles. It has been a dream come true, a place filled with creativity, friendships, laughter, and countless memories that I will cherish forever. What started as a passion grew into something far beyond what I ever imagined, and that is entirely because of each and every one of you.

To everyone who has shopped with us, supported us, shared our posts, gifted our candles, attended events, or simply cheered us on along the way—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support allowed me to live a dream for the past eight years, and I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am.

Making the decision to close was not easy, but there comes a time when you have to follow where life is leading you. Real estate has grown tremendously for me, and after much thought and prayer, I have decided to focus my energy on continuing to build that business. While this chapter is ending, I am incredibly excited for what the future holds.

The Rusty Flame storefront will officially close at the end of July, but this isn’t completely goodbye to our candles! Starting August 1st, you will still be able to purchase your favorite Rusty Flame candles at All Local here in Castroville, as well as through our website.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your homes, your celebrations, and your lives over the years. Thank you for believing in The Rusty Flame. This business has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I will forever be grateful for the journey.

With all my love and gratitude,

Kiki ❤️
