Blue Iris Flowers Locally owned and operated independent florist specializing in custom designs. We sell quality fresh flowers, plants, wreaths and small gift items.

Located on Main Street in Catonsville, Maryland, Blue Iris Flowers has been serving the community of Catonsville and its surrounding areas since 1967. We deliver daily to Catonsville, Ellicott City, Baltimore City and surrounding areas. Myself and my mother took over ownership of Blue Iris in Spring 2011. We are truly honored to be a part of the Catonsville community and it is our goal to provide

quality products with caring, honest and helpful customer service. We are always available to help you pick out the perfect arrangement for any occasion. In addition to every day arrangements, we provide stunning wedding arrangements are reasonable prices. We work with a number of venues and churches in the area, and can deliver anywhere in Baltimore. It's a shame that I need to make this post but just a reminder that our town is filled with crosswalks that are utilized by everyone, including children, and that as a motorist you are required to yield to pedestrians using those crosswalks.

One of our employees and her 4 year old daughter were almost hit in the crosswalk on Melvin Ave at Frederick Road this afternoon. They had the walk sign and began crossing the street when a woman came flying through and almost hit them and then went speeding down Melvin Ave. The woman even had her own young daughter in the car. She sure is setting a great example for her child. Thank goodness our employee and her daughter are unharmed, but they are pretty shaken up.

I myself have almost been hit multiple times in that crosswalk with the walk sign up, as well as other designated crossings here, and we have heard multiple stories from others about similar experiences.

We need to do better, Catonsville. Please, slow down and watch for pedestrians. Hitting someone isn't worth getting to your destination 10 seconds earlier.
