Swipe for that unexpected icing on the cake, that I didn’t know it needed!!!

Always the fabrics tell me what’s missing!!🤔 How does that work???

Happy to use denim, denim and more stretchy denim to make the smallest dent in those landfill piles. 💪🏾

Also, BIG EXCITEMENT, no foam!! We finally got our hands on rubberized hair/coir and so the inside upholstery is biodegradable and more sustainable!!!

Some favorite sights while on break!!

Another favorite, not pictured, is the mess I get to make each day and not have to clean up allowing me to jump right in the following morning!!! Bliss!!!

Am I the only one like that? It makes me happy although I have many friends who need it tidy when they finish their creative day!

Awnings UP!!

Took awhile after our shop flood this winter but they’re up for the season and things are way cooler, just in time for the 🔥wave!!

The story behind the 6 Chairs 🪑

Upon having meandered into our shop one Saturday morn, 2 clients were inspired to commission us in creating individual narratives for six dining chairs they’d recently purchased.

They filled us with stories, ideas and supplied us with clothing, cherished textiles, uniforms highly decorated, and keepsakes! From there we went to work!!

We combined their pieces with items from our collections and created chair backs that work together in telling stories yet stand strongly individual. We framed items with meandering thread. We embroidered, creating texture to authenticate an ice cream cone…..as one must, created pockets for interaction and creative embellishment!! The list goes on.

It was a lengthy process and we shared many collaborative conversations. There was, of course, a fair share of trial and error combining non-tradish textiles and ephemeral for upholstery but we stayed the course and came up with some ideas and executions that we all loved!!!

It was a special project with special folk and I’m not gonna lie, there was some magical happenings with the fireman’s uniform I was working with.
