We are deeply saddened and devastated, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Holly’s Quilt Cabin is now CLOSED. We apologize for the abruptness of everything, but due to the unfortunate situation we were put in, we did the very best we could. The outpouring of support was totally overwhelming and was truly more appreciated than you can imagine. A huge heartfelt thank you to all our loyal customers over the last 28 years!!!

Quilting Services
Don’t worry, your quilt tops are in great hands. Our quilters have contacted all customers who currently have quilts checked in. In the future, they will continue to do their excellent work to complete your creation. Please contact them directly to utilize their services.

Gift Certificates
All gift certificates will be honored. You may redeem them at High Country Quilts (4727 North Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80918) or contact us at [email protected], or by telephone. To redeem through our email, please include a copy of your Gift Certificate, your name and address, or your credit card information. Our website will be available for a period of time.

Classes
Anyone signed up for classes will be given a refund. We will contact you in the next couple of days.

3/10 - Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing. Learn a fun skill that facilitates some more complex patterns.

3/15 - Crazy Quilt with Hand Embroidery. Something old and lots of creative fun.

3/22 - Intro to Raw Edge Applique. Do you have a McKenna Ryan or other applique pattern you aren't sure how to do? This class is for you.

The Dawn of National Quilting Day: In June 1991, members of the National Quilting Association pass a resolution in Lincoln, Nebraska, for the celebration of National Quilting Day. This year National Quilting Day will be on Saturday, March 15. Save some time on March 15, to come visit our store!

Our batik inventory has grown - check them out when in the store.

Upcoming class for February

Not Your Mama's Sampler - 2/8

100 Modern Quilt Blocks by Tula Pink provides 100 different blocks that you can choose from to make a modern sampler quilt. This ‘workshop’ will provide direction on planning your blocks and then designing your layout. It may take you out of your comfort zone, but it will be fun! This process will:
• Introduce modern fabrics and styles if you’ve never tried them or let you use them in a different way.
• Let you make blocks each month with help if needed. Instead of defined blocks and fabrics, you will have a chance to express your artistic self to make a unique ‘sampler’ quilt.
• Help you design your layout for your beautiful blocks.
• Provide some social sharing of ideas and progress. If you’ve never sewn with a group you’ll see how much fun it can be.
The instructor will be available throughout the process to help you. A monthly sew group will keep you motivated, and you’ll even make some new friends.
