Arrow B benefits from a broad swath of project experience – from residential to large scale commercial construction: remodels and tenant renovations, new office buildings, restaurant, hotel, hospitality, casino, mixed-use, education, and justice architecture. Principal Shane Martin, AIA, has enjoyed two decades of professional practice, completing award-winning projects throughout Colorado, the Mi

dwest and West – including many projects in mountain and resort communities. He is experienced in all aspects of project planning from programming and concept design through construction contract administration. Shane received his professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas in 1993.

Here’s a quick update on the residential addition we did in Crested Butte. The owner always felt the original garage looked like a clumsy afterthought with no relationship to the main house. Additionally, the front door (yes, that was the FRONT door...) had absolutely no sense of arrival. We puzzled over this one for quite a while: How to build a new garage and guest suite, but do a more creative job incorporating them into the spirit and geometry of the main house. We are particularly proud of this transformation. More pics to come later this summer!

Our very own dusty antique, principal Shane Martin had the chance to play hooky with his daughter last summer at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms for a visit from Antiques Roadshow. The duo showed off two artifacts we saved from the landfill during our 2200 California project. It was great fun. And as luck would have it - one of the segments made the show! Arrow B has turned the former Next-Door Bar into Bien y Tu—a vibrant, elevated Mexican restaurant in Castle Rock. After a long historic design review, the team even created a one-of-a-kind patio that blends perfectly with the district while staying true to the restaurant’s Mexican roots. The interior is full of thoughtful details—lush plants, custom lighting with macramé accents, and exotic tile work that brings a handcrafted feel. It all comes together to capture the warmth of a timeless cantina. The showstopper? A dazzling glass mosaic behind the back bar.
