On this Earth Day, I’m reminded that caring for the earth isn’t a trend, it’s a calling. As Christians, we don’t worship creation but we do deeply value it, because it was spoken into existence by our Creator. Every tree, every stream, every tiny insect reveals His design, His order, and His beauty.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1
When we teach children to slow down, to get their hands in the dirt, to notice the patterns in nature, we are doing more than science lessons. We are opening their eyes to the fingerprints of God. Loving the earth, stewarding it well, and understanding how it works isn’t separate from our faith, it’s an extension of it. If we don’t teach our children to see the wonder in what God has made, who will grow up to protect it?
Today, we celebrate creation— not as something to idolize, but as something to care for, learn from, and give thanks for. Let’s raise children who know the Creator and cherish His creation. 🌿
