This attic transformation turned out to be such a great, functional space 🙌

We took an unused area and created a private spot for a 16-year-old—complete with its own staircase, a small lounge area, bedroom, closet, and a full bathroom. It may not be huge, but it’s a big upgrade and he has his own floor.

Just goes to show—no space is too far gone to become something really useful.

This low-budget transformation came together in just a couple of months, and the results speak for themselves. What was once an awkward bedroom is now a fully functional Jack & Jill bathroom with rich, moody tones, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

From awkward “4th bedroom” to a functional Jack & Jill bath 🙌✨

This upstairs space used to be a pass-through bedroom (yes… you had to walk through another bedroom to get to it 😅). Not exactly ideal.

We reworked the layout to give both upstairs bedrooms direct access to a shared bathroom AND carved out space for a master closet. Smart, simple, and so much more practical.

The best part? We kept it low budget and still got a result we’re really proud of.

Would you believe me if I told you 12 weeks ago this space was an awkward bedroom you couldn’t even access without walking through another room?

From the very first viewing, I could see the potential and now it’s completely transformed. Our upstairs now features two functional bedrooms, a fully updated Jack and Jill bathroom, and a master closet that actually makes sense.
