We are a full service woodworking shop that is committed to creating works that are both beautiful and eco-friendly. In addition to working with private clients, we regularly work with architects and interior designers on a wide variety of projects. We offer furniture prototyping, historical reproductions, doors, moldings, stairs, built-ins, kitchens, and vanities. We generally work with regionall

y grown woods (cherry, pine, maple, oak, walnut, poplar) and reclaimed & salvaged materials. We also offer concrete counter tops, sinks, and shelving.

The Universal Energy Table

The Universal Energy Table was inspired by the invisible forces that connect all living things. Every element was created with intention. The flowing walnut spiral represents the movement of energy through the body and the natural world, while the torus shaped base symbolizes the continuous cycle of giving, receiving, and renewal.

The live-edge spalted sycamore top reminds us that nature’s greatest beauty is found in its individuality. Its dramatic grain and organic character are impossible to duplicate, making each piece as unique as the person who welcomes it into their home.

Subtle proportions based on the Golden Ratio create a quiet sense of balance and harmony. More than furniture, this piece is meant to be experienced. It invites a moment of stillness, reflection, and connection in an increasingly busy world.

One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever built.

At first glance it’s a café table for two. But with a flip of the top it transforms into a 6-foot dining table, ready for family dinners, parties, and friends. The wooden slides extend, an additional leg swings into place for support, and the top pivots on hand-made walnut hinges.

Those hinges were probably my favorite part. I’d never made wooden hinges before, and figuring them out was one of those challenges that reminds me why I love this craft.

Cherry top. Sculpted curly maple base with walnut pe***ng. Every curve shaped by hand.

What makes this piece even more meaningful is the story behind it. These clients came to me because, twenty years earlier, they had commissioned my parents, Paul and Bonnie Rung, to build their dining table. Being trusted to continue that relationship a generation later meant more than I can put into words.

Furniture can outlast us. That’s part of what makes this work so special.
