I do have a book out, that shares the memorial items I created, how I created them, and some helpful pictures and links. Just as an FYI, in case you want to check it out. The book is "Out of the Box"

Tired of boxes in the basement or in storage? What if something in that stored box would make an adorable teddy bear or other memorial item? Discover out-of-the-box ideas for removing items literally out of the box. This book is a companion book for “Boxed In: One Widow’s Journey” and delves ....

Starting a new project! Any guesses on what it is?

I had to take a bit of a hiatus as I focused more on my writing instead of my sewing! Add to that a move, and now I'm trying to get set up and busy creating again!

I wrote a book where I shared my experiences and what I learned after my husband passed away. I write about how I started making t-shirt quilts, memorial pillows, memorial teddy bears, tie pillows and other memorial creations. If you are interested, the book is available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Boxed-Widows-Journey-Kim-Taylor/dp/B0GS6YWRHN

I have actually made a regular quilt. I took a couple of quilting classes, and I have made several, regular quilts. However, I discovered they take me longer to make and it is difficult to impossible to actually "quilt" it by machine if it is big. When you make rag quilts, you do not have to go back and sew the "stippling" to quilt it. I mean, you could do it by hand...or pay someone with a "long arm". That is a big reason why I like rag quilting!
