I have actually made a regular quilt. I took a couple of quilting classes, and I have made several, regular quilts. However, I discovered they take me longer to make and it is difficult to impossible to actually "quilt" it by machine if it is big. When you make rag quilts, you do not have to go back and sew the "stippling" to quilt it. I mean, you could do it by hand...or pay someone with a "long arm". That is a big reason why I like rag quilting!

Although I didn't make this tie pillow, this is a video I watched to learn how to prep the ties for sewing! I made mine from a picture I found without instructions. But this was great in helping me prepare and cut the ties.

I researched teddy bear patterns because I had a scout shirt from my late husband that I thought would make a great memorial teddy bear. And it did! I actually increased the size of the pattern though, because I couldn't fit all the patches on the original pattern size.
