He was born and raised in Champaign, and he still works in the store daily, along with his wife, Jan, their two children, Kristin and Michael, and a family friend, Richard Witt. Ed first became involved in the bedding industry in the early 1970's while working with his brother. Beginning as a factory direct store making our

own brand of mattresses, Illini Mattress has now evolved to meet the demands of more diversified customers.
