5 YEARS!! ❤️✨

Five years ago today, I opened the doors to the very first Fire Doll storefront. The Reader’s Digest version of the last five years? Small business is hard.

There have been incredible highs, plenty of humbling lows, a million lessons learned the hard way, some really big wins, and more than a few moments where I wondered how the heck I was going to keep this thing going. But we’re still here. And that is because of YOU.

Every candle you’ve bought, workshop you’ve attended, friend you’ve brought in, post you’ve shared, order you’ve placed, event you’ve supported, and kind word you’ve offered has helped us get to this milestone.

Five years later, we have a beautiful home in downtown Champaign right on Main Street, an incredible little team, Fire Doll candles in shops around the country, and a community that has supported this crazy dream far beyond anything I could have imagined when I opened that first tiny storefront.

Small business is not easy, and I will never take for granted the fact that you all have continued to choose us through it all.

So today I mostly just want to say thank you. Thank you for keeping our doors open. Thank you for letting us grow. Thank you for giving us grace while we figured things out. Thank you for celebrating with us, creating with us, and making Fire Doll what it is today.

Five freaking years. We’re still here. And it’s because of you. THANK YOU ❤️

AIN'T SHE A BEAUT?!!! The boys at Book Construction knocked this new sign out of the park! The facade could use a fresh coat of paint all around cuz I tried to spot paint and nope, but this sign is poppin'!! We love it so much!! Thank you for making our dreams come true, fellas! 🙌🙌🙌

Some of you may have noticed that the facade of our shop today looks a bit like a scene from an old cartoon where a house is robbed and they took the pictures off the walls and left that little "used to be a picture here" shape. FEAR NOT! Our friends at Book Construction took our sign to get some much needed TLC and will bring it back all shiny and new! WE ARE OPEN! We will be celebrating 5 years in business this month, so we are excited to mark the occasion with a fancy new sign! We can't wait to see how it turns out! Stay tuned! 🥰
