As many of us send our kids back to school, we are proud to share images from one of our summer projects: Renovations of Sigma Nu Fraternity House at the University of Illinois. Greek life is changing and many of the houses are choosing to renovate to keep up with the changing expectations. As always, for us, modernizing can coexist with reverence for historic structures. Our Sigma Nu project exemplifies this mindset Building in conveniences, privacy, hard-wearing materials, while being mindful of the architecture are not opposing concepts. We are proud to have designed spaces that will transcend fads, endure the demanding environment, and serve many generations. It takes incredible effort to produce a quality project, particularly under the tight time constraints. Special thanks to the team at Voyles Home Improvements for putting in such long hours and hard effort ( and a gazillion steps!), the demo team from Atlantic Services, Pyramid Granite and Marble , and Missouri Terrazzo. It was a very long, hot summer in this non- air-conditioned space and everyone brought their A- game!!
