Stained glass comes in different thicknesses and textures. Some of the most visually interesting glass is the most challenging to work with. This ribbed glass is one of my favorite but, boy is it a pain. You have to line up the ribs for pieces that connect which means more glass waste and it’s hard to foil and to fit into lead came channels. It will be worth it though!

There are a lot of steps in making stained glass. Foiling is the Tiffany stained glass method. After selecting just the right glass, each piece is scored/cut and grinded to the precise shape and size, they are foiled with copper tape and burnished. Next they will be soldered and cleaned, then patina will be applied and the finished piece will be cleaned and polished. This 42-piece, 12” square, art deco deer will take roughly 12 hours to make. This one will also get a custom wood frame. Authentic hand made stained glass art takes time, precision, and care.

Planets in Glass - $95
This beautiful piece includes a 5” inch diameter sun and the nine planets in relative size. Yes, I’m including Pluto because it was discovered by Lowell’s in Flagstaff and we ❤️ Pluto. The whole piece measures around 34” long and looks beautiful hanging in a sunny window or against a wall.
