Team Spotlight: Logan Byrd 💥

Meet Logan, one of our talented designers who has been with INTEC Group full-time for a little over a year (after completing a successful internship)! Logan graduated from the interior architecture program at UNCG, where she also minored in entrepreneurship. Her creative and entrepreneurial spirit shines through in every project she tackles.

When she's not busy designing stunning spaces, Logan loves doing puzzles and watching reality TV shows—talk about a fun and dynamic mix! And here's a fun fact: Logan's cat, Layla, has quite the origin story. She found Layla after the kitten rode to church under the hood of someone’s car!

Check out one of our latest projects - 36th Street Station, located in the heart of Charlotte's Arts District! Designed as a community landmark with an iconic CorTen steel sign, this building has quickly become a neighborhood must-visit.

As one of the city's first buildings designed as a part-gallery, 36th Street Station features stunning art murals and is crafted with durable materials that honor the past and anchor the future. With pedestrian-friendly spaces, large patios for community activities, and a rooftop patio overlooking the light rail station, it's a vibrant community hub that blends seamlessly into the fast-changing neighborhood.

As a former VT Hokie and now a dedicated Project Designer at INTEC Group, Natalie brings passion and creativity to our team. Outside of work, she's a beach lover who adores sea turtles and pug dogs. Fun fact: despite being 5'2", Natalie used to tackle hurdles during track season with unstoppable determination!

Lemmond Farm was developed for the renowned regional healthcare leader, Atrium Health. This specialty building is not just a healthcare facility but a pivotal anchor for the new Lemmond Farms community development.

Designed with biophilic principles at its core, our architecture and branding seamlessly blend natural elements through screening, materiality, and color. Positioned "right off I-485," this center boasts excellent access and high visibility, prominently located at the signalized intersection of Lemmond Farm Dr. and Albemarle Rd.

Despite the tight site and cost challenges, we've created a memorable landmark that serves as a gateway to the development, setting a new context for future growth.

🏢Welcome to Brayden Village in Fort Mill, SC!

Designed as a vibrant, neighborhood-oriented space, this +/- 33,000 SF center focuses on creating a healthy and engaging environment with ample landscape greenery, walking paths, plazas, and seating areas. Located at the prominent intersection of Brayden Parkway and Hwy 160, this highly accessible center features a diverse mix of unique retail, restaurant, service, and medical tenants for a holistic experience. The project achieved full occupancy at above-market rates before construction completed and was sold as a premier investment property. Brayden Village has become the heart of the Fort Mill community!

🎉 Team Spotlight: Meet Abby Smith!

Abby is one of our talented Associate Architects who recently celebrated her two-year anniversary with INTEC Group. She is a dynamic individual whose passion for life extends beyond her work and is evident in her diverse range of interests.

Outside the office, dance takes center stage as she regularly immerses herself in the world of Salsa and Bachata. On the weekends, you’ll likely find her singing karaoke, listening to live music, or snuggling with her Lynx Point Siamese cat, Percy. We're thrilled to have such a well-rounded, dedicated team member!

IT IS FINISHED! (Well almost finished...) Remember Heights Church Ground Breaking Ceremony back in March 2023? Well this past weekend, INTEC Group got to celebrate alongside of Heights Church , L.F. Jennings , GPI / Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., Structura, Inc. and many more, at the Grand Opening of their newly renovated expansion on Easter Sunday!

This project is one for the record books, being completed in less than a year-and-a-half and being one of the first buildings in Richmond, Virginia to raise their existing roof 10ft to accommodate the 1,500 seat auditorium. The church welcomed 4,500 people for their Easter Sunday experiences and we know there will be many more to come.

We are so excited about our current collaboration with Zeal Church on their new project! One of the key components of our tried-and-true design process is walking with our clients every step of the way - from helping articulate their vision to layering on the final details (like furniture, artwork and accessories). We've only just begun with this one but are looking forward to continuing our partnership in 2024 (and beyond) as we work, together, to take their ideas from paper to reality.

Cheers to Associate Architect, Abigail Johnson, on her one-year anniversary with INTEC Group! From drafting construction documents to navigating the great outdoors, Abigail is a reliable, hardworking teammate by day and an adventurous, dedicated mom by night.

With 7 siblings, Abigail knows the power of teamwork, and she brings that collaborative spirit to every project. And she’s not only a super teammate but also a super mom to a middle and high schooler. Traveling to new places and tent-camping has nothing on the experience of teaching her daughter to drive – which she is handling fearlessly (mostly). And when she needs to destress after a busy workday or a tough driving lesson, she's got a sweet feline companion named Sunshine who undoubtedly brightens her days.

Here's to another year of architectural excellence, family adventures, and (finally) hitting the jackpot, Abigail!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🦃🍂 May your day be filled with love, gratitude, and the warmth of cherished moments. Wishing you a Thanksgiving full of joy and connection!

Grateful hearts gathered at INTEC for a potluck feast filled with laughter, warmth, and delicious bites. This year, we also took a moment to give back to the community by spreading joy and doing it together. Our DC office and remote employees served Letters Against Isolation and wrote heartfelt letters to the elderly, sharing love and gratitude to combat the isolation they may experience. Meanwhile, our Charlotte office served the community by decorating a Christmas tree for a local kids' hospital, adding festive cheer to brighten their spirits. We are grateful for the time together!

From conceptualization to reality, INTEC Group had the privilege of designing approx. 15,6000 SF of future retail/restaurant/medical space for the booming, 100-acre mixed-use development, Prescott Village. Construction on these buildings will be starting soon so plan on grabbing lunch, staying to read a book, or even hanging out to get some work done after you check out our latest project!

Meet our teammate, Kaitlyn Mott.

We recently had the honor of celebrating Kaitlyn's first anniversary as a Project Designer on our team — in addition to her noteworthy design talents, we applaud her quiet confidence and value her willingness to take on project challenges. And aside from Kaitlyn's incredible work ethic, over the past year we've learned there's so much more to her above and beyond her unwavering dedication to the team and creative eye!

When she's not busy transforming spaces, Kaitlyn loves hitting the hiking trails, connecting with nature and embracing her passion for sustainability. Her personal journey is also remarkable; she's a graduate of both Cazenovia College and The New York School of Interior Design where her passion for design led her to study abroad in the UK, gaining inspiration from the rich history and diverse culture.

We're so lucky to have Kaitlyn on our team, bringing her unique perspective, global inspiration, and commitment to making the world a more beautiful and eco-friendly place. Located within steps of Arlington's Metropolitan Park, these new spaces are sure to become instant favorites for local patrons. Inspired by mouthwatering pastries and crafted cocktails, we're designing every detail to create spaces that are as delicious as the items they serve. Meet Ryan Tillotson. INTEC Group has thrived over the years, cultivating exceptional interns into full-time employees, and Ryan (although not a Hokie!) is part of that success story. Since joining INTEC Group full-time in the spring of 2022, his dedication to the team and passion for his work have been second-to-none. His previous life as a carpenter lends itself perfectly to being an architect and consistently manifests in his vast knowledge and the attention to detail he applies to every project. The construction world’s loss was our gain and we’re enjoying watching Ryan, and all his plants, grow. Looking forward to many more years of success and teamwork, together!

Don't you love how renderings have the power to immerse you into a project? It's easy to imagine a vibrant community of families, professionals, and individuals, coming together in a thoughtfully designed multi-family development. In addition to your living space, it would offer several features to help live your best life without ever getting into a car - a dog park to enjoy time with your favorite companion; a community theatre to socialize with your friends; a health clinic (which you hopefully won't need too often!), scenic views of preserved, historic structures and plenty of open space and beautiful greenway to commune with nature .
