Do you know what Engagement Season is? Engagement season is pretty much Thanksgiving through Valentine’s Day. It’s when more engagements happen than any other time of the year, and when wedding vendors spend their wedding offseason booking for the next year to two years out. With Valentine’s Day coming up next week, the final dates of the year will be filled in on the calendar, and likely half of next year’s dates. If you are engaged and planning your wedding, send out all the vendor inquiries you can NOW, because we’re all about to have a final BOOM in proposals over the next couple weeks before we hit the ground running with wedding season kickoff next month! If you’ve received proposals, NOW is the time to make decisions and ensure that your checklist gets marked off, ESPECIALLY if you plan to get married this year! We’re here, we’re ready, let’s make your wedding happen!!

Wedding Date Availability is going FAST. The wedding boom is VERY real, and this is the year people are catching up on festivities following a few tough years of social limitations.

If you are shopping vendors and find someone you like, SIGN THE CONTRACT! There are hundreds of weddings happening on your wedding day in the mid Atlantic- we are being hounded with proposals and we want to make YOUR day amazing!

Make sure to set aside some time to prioritize planning, listen to your coordination team, and trust your vendors. This is your big day- and we’ve done this hundreds of times! We can make it happen if you let us!

Want it all? Let’s talk repurposing! There is no reason you shouldn’t be able to use almost everything from your ceremony again at your reception. Unless you have a petal aisle that needs to be swept and tossed, or you marry in a church that doesn’t allow for altar flowers to be removed once placed; aisle, altar and bouquet florals can be reused. One of my favorite services to offer is cocktail hour turnover. Centerpieces, head table, cake table, you name it- all can come from florals used in the ceremony. This saves you money for other fun things - like honeymoon excursions??
