In 1999 I was offered the opportunity to trade architectural time for a studio at the Penland School of Craft. Over the last 20 years I have had the opportunity to design 17 projects, take studios, teach a studio and make birdhouses for the remarkable annual Auction (see the Birdhouse album). I am one of many who acknowledge life changing experiences at Penland.
