🍋 When life gives you lemons... turn them into a design feature!

Our clients had a structural load-bearing beam running directly through the center of their kitchen renovation. One option was an extensive engineering project to recess the beam into the ceiling, adding significant cost and complexity.

Instead, we embraced it.

By wrapping the beam in reclaimed wood, we transformed a structural necessity into a stunning architectural focal point that adds warmth, character, and personality to the space.

Sometimes the best design decisions aren't about hiding challenges. They're about turning them into opportunities.

Sober October is almost over...not that anyone's counting down or anything!

But with the end of October approaching, we've been thinking about one of our favorite home features: the wet bar.

Whether it's a glass of w**e after a long day, a coffee station for busy mornings, or a place to entertain family and friends during the holidays, a thoughtfully designed wet bar can become one of the hardest-working spaces in your home.

The range hood is quickly becoming the statement piece of the modern kitchen.

What if the room you wanted to hide became one of the best features of the kitchen?

When we first started designing this kitchen, our client envisioned a simple door leading into the pantry. Something quiet and unobtrusive that wouldn’t draw attention to a hardworking space.

We saw it a little differently.

We believe the spaces that work the hardest in a home can also be beautiful. So instead of hiding the pantry behind a standard door, we designed the entrance as part of the cabinetry itself.

Closed, it looks like a beautiful built-in that belongs in the kitchen. Open the doors, and you discover an entire walk-in pantry tucked behind it, with tons of storage, countertop space, appliances and a second refrigerator.

Practical doesn’t have to be an afterthought. Sometimes it can be one of the best parts of the design.

Not all mudrooms have to be purely utilitarian.

A mudroom has a job to do, but that doesn’t mean the details should stop at storage.

In this project, we incorporated lighting directly into the cabinetry, illuminating the inside of the closets when they’re open. It’s a small detail, but it completely changes how the cabinetry feels and makes finding coats, shoes and everything else that gets tucked away a little easier.

We love finding ways to make hardworking spaces feel just as considered as the rest of the home.

Sometimes it’s the details you don’t see until you open the door that make the biggest difference.

We love when our clients love their new spaces… but we REALLY love when their pets do too! 🐾❤️

Judging by these two, we’d say this Bespoke kitchen has officially passed inspection. Beautiful cabinetry, plenty of room to gather, and apparently a few pretty great spots for an afternoon nap.

Because the best spaces aren’t just designed to look beautiful. They’re designed to be lived in… by everyone in the family. 🐶

To all the busy moms out there! I thought I’d share a recent project that might resonate with anyone who wishes their kitchen counters were a little less cluttered.

This is a custom coffee larder with pocket doors. ☕️
Open it up and the doors slide neatly back into the cabinetry, leaving the coffee maker, toaster, mugs and everyday essentials right where you need them.
Morning rush over? Close the doors and everything disappears.

It’s a great example of what we love about custom cabinetry: finding beautiful solutions to the little practical problems that come with everyday life.

I have a client who is is purchasing a La Cornue range and the new La Cornue line of cabinetry. CA does not have the La Cornue catalog. Can someone help me create the cabinets. The company does have some CAD files. Please DM me!
