Day 2: Useful 3D Prints — Kitchen Edition!

Not everything I print has to be decorative—some of my favorite prints are the ones that solve those little everyday problems around the house!

Here are a few that have earned a permanent spot in my kitchen:

Under-Cabinet Paper Plate Dispenser
Paper plates are easy to grab without taking up valuable counter or cabinet space.

Countertop Paper Towel Holder
Simple, functional, and keeps the roll right where we need it.

Customizable Gridfinity Drawer Organization
This one might be my favorite! Instead of buying a silverware organizer and hoping it fits your drawer, Gridfinity lets you build the organization around your drawer and what you actually keep in it. So many options and possibilities.

I currently have sections for forks, spoons, knives, serving utensils, straws, and other odds and ends. I still need to print a few more pieces to finish filling the grid—but that’s part of what makes this system so useful!

That’s one of my favorite things about 3D printing: if something doesn’t quite fit your space, we can make something that does.

💗 Katie’s Favorite Prints of the Summer 💗

One of my favorite parts of 3D printing is seeing which creations my kids get excited about—and Katie definitely has opinions about what deserves a spot on the printer.

So, in honor of my little 8-year-old creative consultant, here are a few of Katie’s favorite prints from this summer!.

She loves coming in to see what’s printing, picking colors, giving me her opinion, and claiming certain prints as hers before they even make it off the build plate.

Having the kids get excited about what I create has been one of the most fun and unexpected parts of building Kara’s Crafted Dimensions. Sometimes their ideas even give me ideas for what to make next!

So these are officially Katie Approved.

I am finally ready to share my Baseball/Softball caddy with the world, lol. This is version 2 with more minor modifications to come. If anyone is interested send me a message. I am asking $30. I will post the color options I have available. I can try and find a different color if you need it.

Here are the results of yesterday "What am I printing" post. This is a Lithophane I made for my dad of one of his dogs. Ill post the other ones I made for him as well. You can see the all-white picture is what it looks like when not illuminated.
