acanthus and foliate scrollwork.

Cast in bronze with hand-gilding and vibrant enamel detailing, these architectural hardware pieces capture the grand, imperial aesthetic typical of late 18th c. Russian decorative arts.

NEED HELP RESEARCHING! Rene’ Lalique Pre-war Judaica:The Exodus
This plaque is marked R. LALIQUE FRANCE in block letters. It depicts the Exodus of the Israelites leaving slavery in Egypt under Mosses. The front center of the plaque has Moses standing on Seven Steps holding one arm up with the Star of David above his left shoulder in the top center of the plaque. Below Moses out stretched arm is “The Burning Bush” in the shape of a menorah. Under “The Burning Bush” are two faces representing YHWH and Moses, when YHWH spoke out of “The Burning Bush”. On the right side of the plaque behind Moses back are the three Pyramids of Giza. The plaque edge is surrounded with twelve faces representing the “Twelve Tribes of Israel”. The base is formed using the steps Moses is standing on. Measurements: 11 inches high by 11 wide by 2 inches deep at the top & 2.75 deep at the bottom.
