I work in four different mediums, but watercolor has always had my heart. My little watercolor kit goes everywhere with me because I truly paint everywhere I travel.

I feel incredibly blessed to say that painting is my job. The people who choose to bring my art into their homes are the reason I get to wake up every morning and do what I love. That saying, “Find something you truly love, and you’ll never work a day in your life,” couldn’t describe my life any better. I start every day with a grateful heart 🤍

Over the years, I’ve created artwork in many sizes, and I’m so thankful that so many people appreciate original art. While I do sell my larger paintings (and I’m currently working on a very exciting new collection), these tiny originals have taken on a life of their own. Since the spring of 2025, they’ve become so popular that I can never seem to keep my little basket full.

One of my favorite parts is that these paintings are created wherever life takes me. Painting is my way of slowing down, resting, and soaking in the beauty around me-even though I’m technically working. People often stop to watch me paint at art shows and while I travel, and many end up taking home a little original (or 10)after seeing the process.

There’s something special about an original watercolor that a print can never fully capture-the texture of the paper and the way the pigments dance through the water.

Today I’m so excited to share that these mini original paintings are available not only at The Cotton Company in Wake Forest, North Carolina. They can now also be found in the three Illinois shops where my art journey first began in 2017:
🤍 Planted (Champaign)
🤍 Fern&Flora (Urbana)
🤍 Home Again (Charleston) .againconsignment

After so many people asked when I’d be back in Illinois and where they could still find my art, I realized how much it meant to them. I already offer prints in those stores, but hearing how many people missed my original work truly filled my heart. So I decided to work a little harder and create around 100 tiny original paintings for each shop.

My goal was to have them ready by July-my birthday month-and I finally made it happen. Since April, after being waitlisted for a few art shows, I unexpectedly had extra studio time. I used every bit of it to paint, catch up on inventory, and create enough variety so everyone has a better chance of finding something that speaks to them. Most people end up choosing them as meaningful gifts for someone they love.
And honestly... with all the Al around us these days, I think people appreciate handmade, original art more than ever. That makes me incredibly hopeful.
The clips in this video show only about 10% of the places where I've painted over the years. My favorite is the very last location-l painted there just a couple of days ago, surrounded by breathtaking beauty. I stayed for hours, completely lost in the moment, and I still can't stop thinking about it.
I can't wait to share the full video from that special place 🤎👩🏻‍🎨
