This Saturday for Charleston Wizarding Weekend I’ll be at Slack Plaza with some treats, lots of art, and some new jewelry!

I’m definitely repping for team Blackbriar with these blackberry cream cheese honey cake pops! Everything is completely from scratch I even made the blackberry compote for the cake myself. The only refined sugar is in the white chocolate coating and sugar paper that my art has been printed on in edible ink.

Friday I’ll be baking honey chocolate chip cookies so keep an eye out for more pictures of things to come!

I have never posted anything like this before to my art page so I hope you will know that means this is very serious and time is ticking. If you can spare a dollar or share, please consider helping my friend save the life of her companion Houdini.

I spent almost an hour today drilling holes in these raccoon molars so that I can play with some new earring designs. I also have some things in a rehydration container.
I had a female Hercules beetle that was damaged when I found her and I couldn’t salvage her whole body but it was interesting to see how the wings fold under the exoskeleton. I’m putting some resin on the inside of these to give them some extra structural support and I have her head still in there to see what other pieces I might be able to save. My male Hercules beetle is fully in tact and I feel like it might take an extra day or two before I’m able to reposition him before pinning.

I owe so many thanks to so many people after this year’s festival. My friends who show up in the hottest, stickiest weather and through flash flooding, all to help me sell my art. My vendor neighbors who helped us when my tent was destroyed not only taking down the broken one but also putting up the new one quickly before the rain hit again. The Hodag Store who always looks out for us and raises moral when we felt like cryptids on a sinking ship. The festival organizers who checked on us throughout the festival making sure we had everything we needed.

And the most special thanks to everyone who has bought and supported my art through the years! You always show up! I love hearing how you all are doing, what pieces you’ve collected, and which ones are your favorite. Anything I want to create you’re there ready to support me and nothing in the world beats that feeling.

My auntie also wants to thank everyone who complimented and bought her up-cycled purses! She’s never tried to sell anything she makes before and was so happy to hear how much you all loved her hard work! I’m trying to convince her to let me help her make a page to show more of her work!

If you’ve been around my tent you know I rarely get to step away, but this year I still have a festival haul from you guys! I can’t tell you how excited I was every time I got a trinket or little piece of art!! You really made me feel like a rockstar this weekend and I hope I’ll see you again next year 🖤.
