B. Berry Interiors Founded by Betsy Berry, B. Berry Interiors is a full-service interior design firm based in downtown Charleston, SC. Berry Interiors in Charleston, SC.

After studying fashion design in Italy, Betsy moved to New York City to pursue her career in design. She attended The New York School of Interior Design, and spent eight years working alongside world-renowned designers like David Easton and AD100’s Sills Huniford. While in New York, Betsy completed luxury commercial projects like The Connaught Hotel in London and The St. Regis Washington DC, as well as large-scale residential projects throughout the United States. During this time, she learned the importance of detail-driven design in a world of mass production; focusing on hand-selected pieces, partnering with artisans for custom finishes & fabrication, and finding newfound beauty in antique materials. In 2013, she returned to her Lowcountry roots and launched B. With a diverse portfolio spanning both commercial, residential and hospitality projects, Betsy’s work has been featured in Domino, Garden & Gun, Southern Living, Architectural Digest and more.

With iconic views like this, the inspiration for this project was New York itself.

For most of this apartment we used a monochromatic palate. This allowed the many custom elements -from plaster to millwork to upholstery and wallpaper - to quietly complement the views from every room, rather than compete with them.

Thank you, VERANDA Magazine for sharing this special project. I am proud of how we made this historic Charleston home work for Darius. We preserved the architectural bones of the house while finding a new purpose for them.

I’m also proud to report I made it all the way to the final install before letting my professional guard down a bit and admitting I have been a fan since high school.

It was a dream project.

Always so happy when work takes me back to New York!

Honored to join fellow designers in a conversation about Design v. Tech - how we integrate technology without compromising the design.

I doubt Norman Rockwell ever had to figure out where to hide the router in his paintings.

Trick of the trade.

Occasionally a project will be photographed before the perfect art has been acquired. When that happens we have to get creative.
