Haven't posted for a while, but wanted to include my latest piece. This is the bracket for our local winner of the men's B division. This is laser etched on a piece of 4x8 tile and hand painted using acrylic paint pens. Fun little project and I think it's being displayed on his mantle at home.

Feeling accomplished with the laser tube replaced. Leave it to me to forget to turn on the water heater in the beginning of winter... broken tube. Now that I'm back up and running, here's my first creation of the season. You'll never guess whose car is going on. I'm wondering if the triangles are too much. May have been better without them.

Thanks to all who follow Lasered by Ray. I truly appreciate all the support, views and encouragement. Facebook and its infinite wisdom limits the information I receive from views until I reach 100 followers. I'm only 4 followers away. If you like the projects and commentary, consider posting on your page and request your friends to follow. I'm hoping the information FB keeps me from seeing will help me make more interesting projects based on feedback and knowing what generates the most interest. As always, if there's something you'd like to have laser etched, feel free to reach out so we can discuss. I'm hoping to replace my broken tube shortly and start making projects again soon. I appreciate all the new views, and people checking in to see what's new. Feel free to share this page on your feed for others to follow. Once I replace by tube (broken by some cold weather earlier this year) I'll be creating some new projects. I already have one idea for a physically large piece that I'll really interested in working on and displaying. Thanks for all the support.

I know projects have been few and far between lately. I'm hoping to change that. I made the foolish mistake of not turning on my water heater, and a couple cold nights fatally froze the cooling water in the laser tube. Fortunately, I do have a spare that I can install but this, like everything these days, will take time. For those still checking in to see if anything is new... soon... very soon.

These placards were made especially for Leyden Vineyard and Winery (www.leydenfarm.com) located in West Greenwich, RI. My wife and I visited a couple weeks ago and had the best time.

These are laser engraved/cut on 3/32" Baltic Birch ply. I find these engrave really well with a nice contrast relative to the light wood.

My first photo mosiac... just finished the frame earlier today. Im really pleased with the way this came out. Took a bit longer than expected... hard to spray paint when it's below freezing. 😄 Might try one more of similar size to make sure I have the process down, then plans are to make an outer space image with some color.
