Father Christmas Class!!

Monday and Tuesday, September 8 & 9 from 10:00-4:00 each day
With guest teacher Karolyn ‘Nubin’ Minerd

Class Cost is $65

This is the perfect time to start thinking ahead to the holidays and Nubin is ready to guide you through the process of creating your own Father Christmas. Nubin has simplified the steps, making this a much faster version of the original; she has adapted much of the process to machine work vs the hand work of the pattern. We are currently putting together kits that will include the pre-quilted fabric (choice of white cotton or natural linen), the hand dyed wool for appliqué, the base for stitching the beard, the body fabric for the doll and the hand dyed silk dupioni for the trim on the jacket. Once you have registered (and paid) for class, we will send you a supply list via email with all other items required. Class will be held right in the shop (with a little re-arrangement of shelves) on both days.

We have a few spots available in our class next week with Karolyn ‘Nubin’ Minerd, Modern Blossoms. This quilt has been hanging in the shop all summer and we have had several requests for a class!! This is short notice and is a Pop-Up class being held on Monday and Tuesday, a two day class August 11 & 12 from 10-4 each day. Class will be held in our shop; the back area will be closed to shoppers on both of those days.
This is a great class for learning to piece curves because of the gentle curves on each of the flower blooms. It is also a great quilt in which to use Kaffe fabrics because the pieces of each bloom are large enough to show the busy prints. Nubin will help you choose your own fabrics or add some to work with your fabrics from home. We will also have kits available on the day of class, if you are interested in one please let me know!!
Cost for the class is $65 per person plus pattern and supplies. There is an optional template set that is available as well.
