With the fresh fall air finally touching North Carolina I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself. 🍂
Honeycomb Design Collective has been part of so many beautiful and exciting projects this year and I can’t wait to share more but first let’s get reacquainted!
Hey y’all I’m Kristina Owner & Designer of Honeycomb Design Collective. Here are a few fun things about me
🐝 When did you first fall in love with design?
I honestly don’t remember a time when I didn’t. As a child, my best friend and I had our own “design firm” where I drew the houses, we built them and then decorated them. I took a brief detour into medicine but I’m so grateful that the little girl who rearranged her room and assembled furniture for fun is now doing what her heart loves.
🏡 My home style in 3 words:
Transitional Organic Semi-refined
🌿 Most excited about in our new build?
The garden! I can’t wait to get my hands dirty. And of course I’m very excited to cook in my new kitchen.
☀️ Light & airy or warm & moody?
Give me ALL the natural light. The more the better. Sunglasses indoors? I’m not opposed.
🚿 Biggest decorating frustration?
Shower floor tile. Function is crucial and the limitations can make this selection a challenge!
🛋️ What do I want people to feel when they walk into my home?
Welcomed. My dream is to own a bed & breakfast so I want people to feel comfortable, linger a little longer, and truly feel at home.
🎨 Neutral or bold?
Neutral forever and always. I love a fun color drench or exciting wallpaper but I’m happiest in a soft neutral palette.
🖼️ One piece I’ll never part with?
A commissioned piece by Beth Williams that I hope becomes part of our family’s story and eventually an heirloom.
🌳 If money weren’t a factor?
I’d turn our backyard into an oasis. Gardening being outside and creating space to decompress is where I find so much inspiration.
Thank y’all for being here—whether you’ve been following along for years or you’re new around here I’m so grateful for you!
Honeycomb Design Collective is all about creating homes that are beautiful, functional and uniquely yours.

From spatial plan, to render, to reality…. Coming soon this new home office space. Blends function with style. Perfectly balanced to conceal while also offering display opportunity for the most loved books.

I’m in love with these elevation edits…
Modern low country with a dash of craftsman is at the core of design heart. Can’t wait to see it come to fruition.

An e-design client sent provided me with the sweetest image of her finished space. We fondly refer to the new space as “the lady lounge.”
