Built in 1976. Reimagined for the way we live today.

A well-built home does not have to be erased to feel entirely new. Sometimes, it simply needs to be seen differently—and revitalized with intention.

For this complete-home renovation, DMS approached the property as one connected experience. From the roofing and exterior finishes to the interior flow, architectural details, landscaping, and even the grass beneath your feet, every decision contributed to the larger vision.

The result is lighter, more functional and entirely renewed, while respecting the home that was already there.

Swipe through to step inside.

If you live in a home with good bones that no longer reflects the way you live, this is the kind of transformation DMS was built to create.

I don’t think I’ve ever really shared what this work means to me beyond the finished photographs.

I’m Margaret Robinson, Principal Designer and NC General Contractor behind DMS Design Build, and creating a home for someone has always felt deeply personal to me.

I love the beauty of design, the massive 48x60 rectified tile, a show-stopping slab of Taj, the ambient lighting that can transform an office into a swanky bourbon lounge with the simple change of a switch. But I’m just as fascinated by everything that happens long before those beautiful pieces arrive.

The sound damping. Rough-in electrical and plumbing. The depth of a window sill. The placement of a doorway. Where the registers and returns will live. Those early decisions are part of the design too.

Because to me, luxury isn’t simply what you see when you walk into a room. It’s the thought, quality, craftsmanship and intention woven into every layer of the home.

Every layer matters because every layer becomes part of the life someone will live there. 🏠❤️

This is the beautiful home of Chrissi Millner, the talented designer behind Hallmark Properties.
It’s always special when a designer’s own home comes on the market. The real bonus is that it’s Chrissi. Her care and eye are felt in every detail, all within a gated community with Lake Wylie views.

Open house this Saturday, February 7. You won’t want to miss this one. 🤍

A kitchen feels expensive long before finishes are chosen.

It starts with proportion, alignment, and how the space functions as one continuous experience.

When layout, circulation, and sightlines are resolved first, the materials simply enhance what’s already working.

That’s when a kitchen feels effortless not busy, not overdesigned, just intentional.

Save this if you’re planning a kitchen renovation.

Before, this kitchen had space — but not connection.

The redesign aligned circulation, seating, and conversation into one shared experience.

Design isn’t about adding more.
It’s about making space work better.

Save this if kitchen flow matters to you.
