A little glimpse into my time back at UNC Charlotte, sharing a few lessons from my career with the next generation of designers.

And one thing I’ll always stand by? The only finished project I don’t love is one that feels *too white.* 😂

Design should have personality. It should reflect the people who live there, tell a story, and feel intentional...not just look pretty.

I hope each student left feeling inspired to trust their instincts, take risks, and embrace their own unique style

We are wrapping up the concepts for this primary bathroom makeover and couldn’t wait to share. We paired rich walnut cabinetry with stacked green tiles and terrazzo flooring to create a vibrant, nature-inspired oasis. Our goal was to create a space that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

A little behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a design project to life. 🎨✨

I recently had the honor of speaking at my alma mater, UNC Charlotte, and walking students through a completed project; from the initial concept and client vision to the design decisions, challenges, and all the details that brought the final space together.

One of my favorite parts of design is showing that the finished room is just the beginning of the story. There’s so much strategy, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration happening behind the scenes.

Being back at UNC Charlotte and sharing what I’ve learned with the next generation of designers was such a full-circle moment. 🤍

To the next generation of designers: keep asking questions, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to develop a point of view that’s uniquely yours.
