All but this dahlia have been cut back. “Just Lucas”, was given to me by a friend since my husband’s name is Lucas. This was the second bloom to open. I love it and thankful I get to enjoy it a little longer.

We’ve been taking advantage of the sunshine by digging up and labeling dahlias. Storing them in full, unwashed clumps in our unheated mud porch has been the most successful for us.

As I just cut my final bulk batch of the season, I felt grateful. Grateful for each one of you who supported our flower stand. Grateful for Saturday mornings at the Market on the Grand where we got to see friendly, familiar faces. Grateful for the beauty we find in creation. Grateful for the life skills our kids are learning as they worked along side us this summer. Grateful for words of encouragement and hearing how our flowers brought joy to someone having a rough time. There is much more I could list but I want to say a huge THANK YOU! We could not have had such a successful 2026 season without our wonderful customers!

🌻All that being said, tomorrow will be our last Friday fill up of 2026.🌻
