I’ve had the joy of visiting over 60 LNS-and it’s always great to connect with other shop teams and owners. When a team member from The Wool & The Floss | Needlepoint Shop visits for University of Virginia dropoff, it was a high point from a tough week. I’ve not visited the Michigan shops-now that I am an empty nester, I see a future road trip here and to Peacock Alley Needlepoint (in West Michigan since 1966) ! I’ve been lucky to share a special customer (Donna Healy Clem and family) with Melissa et al and I loved visiting with Kelli. Plus, we carry Melissa Loves Needlepoint and A Poore Girl Paints & AP Needlepoint products in the shop. So I’ve gotten to know their lovely team and staff over the years. A special group of people and a wonderful high point brightened up my week. Can’t wait for parents’ weekend-we can do a stitch in!

Welcome to all the Hoos and their families! People always ask for food rec during move in and parents’ weekend. We love Bar Tomas in Belmont. And we also love getting Soju at BulpanKoreanBBQ over by stonefield. We also have other recs, so please ask!

Please make plans to shop Thursday - Sunday in shop. Thursday’s sip and shop is a ticketed event. We are open late, though only guests with tickets will be admitted. You can purchase at the door. Plus, 15% of the proceeds benefit breast health programs at Sentara Martha Jefferson. If you are a Martha Jeff employee, please join us as a guest.

Other specials happening throughout the weekend - in store only. If we can field calls, we will do our best but we expect a lot of foot traffic.

There are some great deals to be had, so please come by to shop!
