About the role:
- It is a remote sales engineering position, however… we are a small, high touch company where the “it’s my job” is not a phrase in anyone’s vocabulary here.
- Requires a lot of time driving to meet clients and prospects
- Requires business development networking & prospecting to create new relationships with builders, architects, designers, and others in the luxury residential real estate market.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: 60-80k
- Plus sales commissions/bonuses that vary based on base salary & performance
- 401K with company match after first year
- Healthcare plan (50% paid after 90 days; 100% paid after 1 year)
- Dental plan offered (employee paid)
- Will consider an alternate comp plan for those who prefer a 1099 vs W2 status
Requirements:
- Excellent at observing & listening
- Experience specifying systems using software such as D-Tools, Portal, Specifi, etc.
- At least 3 years experience selling & specifying control and lighting systems from at least one of the following brands: Crestron, Control4, Savant, or Lutron
- Must be based in Virginia, ideally between Richmond & Hampton Roads region
- Have the flexibility to travel frequently within 1-4 hours of Richmond, VA, or Hampton Roads area of VA
- Ok with occasional overnight air travel
- Must have references… we will actually check them!
