I, like many of you, have always been a big fan of the lighted room dividers of the 1960s. The whole concept of incorporating lighting into furniture can totally transform a space. An issue that I’ve had with many of these pieces, though, is that they’re often not deep enough to store records. So I sketched out this piece a couple of years ago as an homage to Otto Guggenheim’s work, and am proud to offer it for sale. This custom lighted room divider has it all. All walnut construction, divided record storage in the base, a sliding door on each side that allows one to reconfigure the bottom cabinet, two floating open cabinets, and four cascading, satin glass lights. Whether used to divide a space or up against a wall, this is sure to impress all who see it in your home. 72” tall, 48” long, 14” deep. 3 light settings. I am taking orders for 3 of these, then will mark this “sold” and close orders when all 3 have sold.
