Happy New Year everyone! I hope this post finds you healthy, safe, happy, and hopeful for a great 2022! We have not posted for a very long time, and we are so sorry for that! The pandemic, “Mother Army” (as we like to call her!), and general strain of having 3 young kids has kept both Forrest and me so busy that our joy of antiques was kicked to the far back burner. We have noticed an extreme uptick on visitors stopping by our fb and following us. We are so happy you are here! To update you all: The Army has moved us back overseas and we are currently in Brussels Belgium. It’s wonderful….. the beer, the bread, and the antiques!😍😍
We went today to meet an antique dealer who clears out homes of recently deceased “old folks”. We toured one of his warehouses and then went to another where a colleague of his has his inventory. What we saw made our eyes pop out of our heads!! I took a short video of the second warehouse as well as some photos of my favs. Most of these things are sold at very reasonable prices for their age and quality. Of course, the single piece I fell in love with immediately was €1500.00 and I about cried when he told me the price.
We are thinking about starting the acquisitions part of this venture again. If we do so, the next container would be filled with furniture, light fixtures, clocks, church benches, and rugs. Have a peek at the video and photos below. Give me your feedback on what you liked so I can get a feel for what is in demand in your neck of the woods. If you like something specific, please let me know! We will be back with this gentlemen next weekend and if it is still available, I’m happy to put a purchase in for you. Shipping would have to be sorted if you didn’t want to wait for our container, but we can discuss this over PM. Enjoy! (Photos in comments!)
