OCTOBER EVENTS 🎃 October is looking very Almanac: crystals, creativity, autumn afternoons, a little candle-making, and just enough weirdness as we creep toward Halloween.

Here’s what’s happening this month:

💎 10/3 - Geode Cracking
Celebrate the reopening of the Walnut Street Bridge with us! Pick your geode, then we’ll crack it open in the shop to reveal the tiny crystal world hiding inside. Join us from 12–6pm.

✨ 10/6 - Crystals 101

If you’ve ever wondered what actually makes a crystal a crystal, or found yourself staring at a wall of beautiful rocks with absolutely no idea where to begin, Crystals 101 is for you.

We’re bringing one of our favorite classes back for its first session in our new space! We’ll dig into a little geology, a little history and folklore, and get hands-on with five of our favorite crystals for beginners.

ONE WEEK. ✨ After 18 months, the Walnut Street Bridge is reopening, and we are so ready to have our favorite neighbor back.

Next Saturday, October 3, the barricades come down, people return to the bridge, and NorthShore gets to celebrate a day we’ve been waiting a very long time for.

And obviously, we’re cracking some rocks about it. 💎

Stop by Almanac during the celebration to pick a geode + have us crack it open for you right in the shop. Every one is a tiny mystery until it breaks open, and there’s something especially fitting about celebrating a reopening by seeing what’s been waiting inside.

Come walk the bridge. Wander NorthShore. Visit your favorite neighborhood shops. Crack a rock. Make a day of it.

Tea season has arrived. 🍂🫖 It's about time to put the kettle on. The mornings are slowly getting cooler. We're feeling the urge to reach for something warm to hold while the world outside begins to change.

This year, we’re welcoming the season by bringing back a little Almanac magic we’ve missed: Mother Tree’s Botanical Teas.

Four herbal blends, each created for a different season and way of being:

🌱 Awaken — bright, fresh. and ready to grow
🌺 Frolic — playful, vibrant, and made for long days
🌹 Soften — slow down, let go, and settle in
🌲 Nestle — warm, spiced, and cozy to the core

They’re officially returning to the shop tomorrow night at the Night Tea Party, 7–10pm. We’ll be pouring free tastings of all four blends.

Happy Autumn Equinox! 🍂🕯️ Tomorrow, day and night meet in equal measure... and just like that, we cross the threshold into Autumn.

The season of golden light, earlier evenings, changing leaves, warm mugs, open windows, and the first little hints of magic in the air. We’re ready for all of it. Especially here in Chattanooga, where Summer has had her claws dug in deep.

We’re celebrating today and tomorrow with our Autumn Equinox Magic Candle Bar at Almanac. Dress a candle with oils, herbs, crystals, and intention for the season ahead.

No reservations needed. Just wander in anytime from 10–6 today or tomorrow.

However you mark the turning of the season, we hope you find a little time to notice it. 🍁

Expansion Update: Week 19 💖 Four weeks since our last update?! Time. Has. Flown!!

For the most part, we’ve just been operating, but a few things have happened in our space that we’re excited to show you. Plus, there’s still a little way to go.

We’re hustling towards what feels like our final deadline in a loooooong list of deadlines: having our basement ready to host our first workshops next weekend for the Autumn Equinox!
