I want to let you know that after multiple updates, including a newspaper article about my business transition, the time has come for a new chapter. Now that March 1st has arrived and I've completed the move, I'm thrilled to announce that The Coop Floral Shop is OFFICIALLY CLOSED.

Although this marks the end of an era, I'm excited for the new opportunities ahead. I'll be honoring my existing wedding commitments, and I'm looking forward to staying connected with friends in the industry. If you need guidance, recommendations, or just a friendly ear, don't hesitate to reach out - I'm always happy to help. I'll also be taking on select small weddings and events.

Truth! If you’re sending out of town or even in town, make sure whoever you pick has an actual address that shows up on a local map!!! This also happens a lot with funeral orders. Go directly to the florist, the funeral homes website pays the website creator, the funeral home, then the florist so they get paid and then send the florist a recipe to make for half of what they charged you!

✨ BIG NEWS FROM THE COOP FLORAL SHOP 🌸

As many of you know, 2026 is bringing BIG changes for The Coop Floral Shop — and we’re finally ready to share them with you.

After the sale of our building left us wondering what was next, we’re excited (and relieved!) to announce that The Coop Floral Shop is staying OPEN 💛

That said, we are changing how we do things so we can better support our families and have a little more flexibility in our lives.

📍 What’s changing?
• Our storefront will officially close January 1, 2026
• We may open briefly at our current location around Valentine’s Day (more details coming soon 💕)
• We’re moving to a studio-style workspace — complete with a kid-friendly play area 🧸
• Flowers will be delivered to you or available for studio pickup by appointment only
• You’ll still be able to come in, browse books and flowers, chat with us, and place orders — just by appointment 🌷

⏰ Ordering Updates
• Orders must be placed at least 1 business day in advance
• January orders must be placed by calling 231-627-2121 (Leave a message if we don’t answer — we’ll call back within 1 business day!)
• Funeral orders will be accepted anytime
• If you can’t reach the shop, you may call Ashley’s cell: 231-420-2567

💻 Coming Soon
In the next few weeks, we’ll be launching a brand-new website — goodbye cookie-cutter arrangements 👋
This new setup will allow you and us to fully customize designs together.

📦 A Few More Notes
• We will no longer be able to wire out orders to other florists
• Our customer service isn’t going anywhere — if you need help finding someone, we’ve got you 🤍
• We won’t carry a large amount of inventory, so special requests should be called in early

Thank you to every single person who has supported us over the last 8 years. We are so grateful for the friendships, loyalty, and trust you’ve given us. There will be some growing pains, but we promise to work through them with grace, honesty, and care — and to always make sure you’re taken care of.

Dear Customers, Friends, and Family,

🌸As many of you know, I was born and raised right here in Cheboygan and owning The Coop Floral Shop for the last 8 years has fulfilled many dreams and taught me so much. Over that short time, the world and floral industry has changed, and I’ve made the tough realization that this big, beautiful building is more than I truly need. Because of that, the building is officially for sale.

💐For now, it’s business as usual. I’m not certain what the future holds for The Coop Floral Shop itself, but I wanted to be transparent with all of you who have supported me along the way. I’m deeply grateful for the love and encouragement this community continues to show me. I will continue to update you as things move forward and decisions are made.
