All set up at Emerald City Yarn for the trunk show today!

I will be here in person until 6pm and I brought a variety of bases and colorways with me. If you haven't been to this shop yet, there is no better day than to day to visit this shop!

Welcome Tye Dyed Diva! This new colorways is made up of a variety of vibrant colors, all mixed together to get you ready for the sun!

The other day I was driving home from work talking on the phone with my husband. The sun was out for a brief moment and I felt it beaming down on my face. In that moment, I envisioned this colorway and couldn't wait to get home to dye it!

I got home, cranked up the dye pans, and got busy layering color upon color to create the vision in my mind. And now Tye Dyed Diva is available for you!

Trunk Show Alert!!

Day 7- Self Care

Self care is something that I am working on. Fortunately years I have felt guilty of I slow down and intentionally make time for Self care. This was not due to anyone else's words or actions. These feelings were completely driven by me. I have always felt like I should be as productive as possible and self care always felt like unproductive time to me.

I have come to realize that taking time to intentionally care for yourself is one of the most important things that you can do and that this is a very necessary use of time.

This evening I am finishing my day with a cup of chamomile tea and a new pattern to cast on. How is this different than any other time I knit, you may ask.

*This is a project that is for fun- no deadline, no commitments; just something that I want to make
* I have a cozy blanket and a warm to to relax with- I usually drink caffeine all day. I want to unwind and prepare for sleep, so I was intentional with my drink choice

Day 2
New Beginnings

What better way to get back in the habit of posting than the Fiberuary challenge.

I have been working on this very slowly, but I think its time to share one of the many things I have been working on quietly. I started this project in October and hope to have it finished this month.This will be my new dye studio! Between health challenges and a crazy schedule, this has taken me much longer than I had anticipated, but I think that has been for the best. Sometimes you just have to take things slowly and let things unfold on their own terms.

Many of you will ask:
"When will it open?"- I'm not sure yet. Hopefully I can start dyeing here by end of February

"Will it be a yarn shop?"- I'm not sure yet. I need to get the studio set up and running first and then grow it from there

"Will you host meet ups?"- Yes, but I don't know what that looks like yet, but community is important to me and so having a place to come together.

This is just a little teaser. I will share as I get closer to finishing the set up.

Wow! It has been a long time since I have reintroduced myself and there are several new people here! First and foremost, thank you for following!!

I'm Jessica, but you can call me Jess or Jada! I am an indie dyer that focuses on dyeing vibrant colorways to inspire makers to show of their creative side! I have been dyeing for 6 years and I love every second of it! I enjoy the ability to play with colors and I love inspiring people with the colorways that I dye

I am also the wife of a very supportive husband who has taken the time to learn about dyeing and the fiber world to support Jadawoo Designs and the vision. I have two incredible daughters, (They are adults but will always be my babies!) I am also the GM for a warehousing company, which keeps things interesting 😊

2025 was the hardest year for me and I am thankful that it is over and excited for what 2026 has in store. Although, I had incredible experiences and the opportunity to meet so many people in the fiber world I also found my limitations. I learned that I have to say no on occasion, I learned that my health was not to be taken for granted, and I learned that I have to ask for help. It took my some time to accept these things and to learn how to move forward with different routines and considerations.

Now on to 2926..... this will be a great year and I can't wait to share with all of you!
