✈️🧵 TODAY’S THE DAY!

Our very first Skill Builder Class starts today at Quilt-n-Kaboodle, and we’re kicking things off with Weekend Wanderer! 🍂

We’ve cut. We’ve marked. We’ve made a whole lot of Flying Geese. And now it’s time to put all that preparation into action!

Today is about more than making a beautiful quilt. We’re going to learn new techniques, work on accuracy, share a few tips and tricks, and build skills that can be used again and again.

Most of all, we’re going to spend the day sewing and learning together. ❤️

🧵 Weekend Wanderer Skill Builder Class
📅 Today — Saturday, September 19
⏰ 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
📍 Quilt-n-Kaboodle
🍽️ Lunch is provided!

I can’t wait to see everyone’s fabrics and watch those first blocks come together!

🧵✈️ WEEKEND WANDERER IS ALMOST HERE!

We’re just 2 days away from our first Skill Builder class at Quilt-n-Kaboodle!

If you’re joining us Saturday, it’s time to start packing that quilting bag. 👜✂️

A few important reminders:

✈️ 240 background squares — 3½" × 3½"
Please have a diagonal line drawn from corner to corner on the wrong side of ALL 240 squares before class. Having these ready means we can get right to making our Flying Geese!

🧵 Bring your sewing setup:
Sewing machine, power cord & foot pedal, rotary cutter, cutting mat, quilting ruler, marking pen or pencil, thread, bobbins, scissors/snips, seam ripper, and your usual basic sewing supplies.

🍂 Bring your prepared Weekend Wanderer fabric and cut pieces.

📚 Don’t forget your copy of Forever Fabulous Fat Quarter Quilts.

💵 Please bring your class fee, if applicable.

And one thing you DON’T need to pack…

🍽️ LUNCH! Lunch is provided!

Most importantly, come ready to sew, learn, ask questions, and have a great day with fellow quilters. ❤️

🍂 The geese are starting to gather! 🪿

The sample for our upcoming Flying Geese Skill Builder Class at Quilt-n-Kaboodle is coming together, and I couldn't resist sharing a little peek at some of the blocks!

One of the things I love about this quilt is how the fabrics get mixed and matched from block to block. Each block has its own personality, but that beautiful fall collection ties everything together. 🍁🎃

And while we're making this quilt, we're learning more than how to follow a pattern. We'll be working on Flying Geese construction, accurate piecing, chain piecing, fabric placement, and organizing our pieces so the whole process goes more smoothly.

That's what the Skill Builder Series is all about:

Learn the Skill. Create the Quilt. Build Your Confidence.

📅 First class: September 19

More of the quilt reveal is coming soon... these little geese still have some flying to do! 🪿🍂
