No More Explaining!
It’s one thing to explain something to someone because they genuinely don’t understand. But it’s another thing entirely to explain yourself because you’re looking for validation.
When you find yourself constantly explaining what you’re doing, who you are, or why you made a certain decision just to gain someone’s acceptance, you’re no longer trying to help them understand, you’re seeking their approval.
And when it comes to doing what God has instructed you to do, ask yourself: Why am I explaining this?
If God told you to do it, He has already validated it.
You have to be careful because constantly looking for someone else’s approval can cause you to place their opinion above God’s direction. Before you know it, you can find yourself questioning what God told you, changing your mind, or walking away from something He instructed you to do simply because someone else didn’t understand.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with explaining something so someone can understand what you’re doing. But when God gave you the instruction, you don’t need someone else’s permission to obey it.
There is no negotiation when God has spoken.
He has already validated it.
So stop exhausting yourself trying to make everyone understand. Stop seeking validation from people for what God has already confirmed.
No more explaining!
