With great sadness, the Pope family announces the passing of Carl Pope, Sr, owner and founder of International Tile & Marble. If you know International Tile, you know we are truly a family owned and operated business. During this time the family needs time to grieve this loss, celebrate his life and plan for his services. The Chesapeake branch will remain open for the counter and warehouse but the showroom will be closed Thursday and Friday May 28 and 29, 2026. WE’RE HIRING !!
Part Time Design Consultant
Hours are flexible – 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer professionally and enthusiastically
• Help the customer to make selections for their tile project
• Understand and be able to explain installation methods to
help to educate the customer
• Follow up with customers on tile selections and quotes
• Maintain a clean and inviting showroom
• Keep current on the latest trends
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct to the correct
department
• Some lifting will be required.
• Keep sample room stocked with current samples, responsible
for ordering customer samples and calling on arrival

Skills

• One year work experience as a sales representative required
• Must have a good sense of color/design
• Interior design background is preferred
• Excellent customer services skills are a must
• Knowledge of MS Office and have basic mathematical skills
• Must enjoy working with people
• Must have a high attention to detail and be highly organized
• Must be able to multitask
• Tile and/or construction knowledge a plus but not required
• High school degree required
• Must be dependable
• Pay will be based on experience
