In process… this is a cherry dresser. Thought I would refinish it to its natural wood color. BUT, upon closer inspection, there was severe damage to the top drawer and damage to so many other areas. Time to pivot and repair, patch and paint. Primed in last picture. Can you guess what color I will paint this?

I sold a restyled set of end tables to a customer, Nicole, who loved them so much she asked for me to do the same restyling to the rest of their bedroom furniture. A different wood meant similar but not exactly matching end products. LOTS of work, but so worth it! She absolutely loves the end results and the coastal vibes. The pictures show the end tables by her bedside, the original dressers and matching end tables, and the final results. I cut off the decorative scroll at the bottom of each piece, sanded them back, did a tan wash and warmed them up with stain. Then three coats of protective finish and new hardware pulls to match the end tables. Delivered yesterday to very happy clients!

This gorgeous mid-century modern walnut dresser by Fancher Furniture Company out of Salamanca, New York, features 9 drawers, original brass pulls in a beautiful gold tone. It’s been professionally refinished on the top with minor cosmetic repairs. It’s in excellent condition. Of course, since it is an antique, they are naturally occurring subtle signs of age throughout which add to the character and beauty of this piece. The drawers are all dovetail in designed and slide easily.  This is a solid wood dresser with beautiful walnut wood and oak interior drawer construction. The large mirror is framed in beautiful walnut and is an excellent shape. It attaches with screws to the back of the dresser, however, the supports can be removed and it has anchors mounted on the back to wall mount the mirror if preferred. This stunning dresser is located in Cheshire, Connecticut. Message me for additional details.

A dear friend in the neighborhood is moving, and this dresser had resided in her garage for a couple of years. It was a quality constructed vintage mahogany dresser that had been shoved to the corner stuffed with random items piled upon and scratched. She was going to drop it at Goodwill, but of course I stepped in and decided to save it. I gave it a quick power washing, a good sanding, and a coat of shellac on all interior and exterior surfaces. Then I primed it and painted it a beautiful light green. I modified the hardware and gave it a quick coat of antique gold paint. Now she’s good as new. Each drawer has been lined with a pretty paper. Quality construction means she’ll last at least another generation. She’s been Saved and Restyled.
PLOT TWIST! I was with that same friend yesterday and showed her the finished results of my makeover on her dresser. Told her I was going drop it off at the store to sell it and she said she’d like to buy it from me. So this morning, I dropped it back off at her house. Her family was very pleased it was preserved.

SOLD to a woman who had been looking for tall bedside tables that were vintage and had lots of character! Mission accomplished with this vanity turned elegant tables! Tall tables are hard to find pairs of and another woman messaged me right after selling to ask if I had another set! Will be looking out for a set to restyle for her. And she wants me to paint a desk they have in storage.
