happy thanksgiving to all! grateful for my loving, little family, new + old friends, and the flowers for inspiring me, teaching me many lessons along the way. forever blessed that i get to do what i love and share the journey with some amazing clients/couples!

thankful that i get to spend the day in good company and eat good food - mostly excited for dessert. hope you have yourself a very happy thanksgiving! 🧡

i never liked winter but appreciate it more and more as i get older and seasonal work becomes mentally + physically heavier. finally…a chance to fall back, lay low, cuddle up, and make/eat homemade soup. as the holidays and the stillness of winter truck along, i get hit with phases of restlessness and bouts of wild energy.

this year, i discovered that my favorite spring fever remedy = a couple who truly loves seasonal flowers, an open palette, bursts of spring colors, and kicking off the wedding season at one of the coolest venues in the lower .

we’re still an entire season away from spring, 2026, but the energy and love for newness lives deep in my bones. very excited to be surrounded by flowers again!

my very last arrangement of the 2025 season went out the door yesterday! so bittersweet but very excited to rest my bones and dream of all the projects in the studio and possibilities in the field for 2026!

this season was so incredibly full of flowers and not enough time in the day to share it all. between harvesting, sourcing, and designing, my hands have been flooded with absolute Earth magic, about 98% of that magic grown right here in the region 🌸👏

i’m so grateful to be busy after just a year of transitioning from the city to the hudson valley…i even forgot to stop and celebrate 5 years of this floral journey that is ‘field trip flowers’. this business has seen and overcome so many changes, challenges, and detours…it’s hard to believe it’s still going strong. i often ask myself “why flowers? how did i get here??” - the power of flowers has a grip on me like nothing else and i can’t imagine doing anything else.

i’ll be planting some things in the field the rest of this week and then laying flat for ~48 hours 🤭 anticipating a restful off-season but definitely counting down the days til spring and a new season unfolding.

thanks for following and being a part of my journey ☺️

studio + site scenes from mid-august

a vintage inspired wedding 🌸 featuring all the blousy lisianthus, the first true harvest of the dahlia season, a load of ambrosia, and the golden brain flower that made it into the bridal bouquet 🤯

the best thing about growing a field of flowers is being able to cut that one thing that makes the whole adventure worth it, the one thing you can’t show up to the wedding without, the one thing that’s gonna make you smile when you look back at your work. earlier this year, it was teeny tiny muscari…this time, it was this golden coxcomb aka brain flower. how freakin’ cool is it that this one singular flower i adored will now live on forever through memories and wedding photos? woah, that’s unbelievably deep 🌊

the juiciest locals for a late august wedding bouquet 💖

when you hire a florist who works with seasonal, locally grown product, you have to trust the process if you want that ‘wildflower look’. we don’t know what will be truly available until we check the field and the market availability lists the week before your wedding. there’s a level of spontaneity and surprise that you don’t get with traditional, ‘out of the box’ florists. i’m grateful for all my clients that put their trust in me to deliver flowers grown with heart and designed with intention 💕

…standing tall over (what i think is) the last of the locally grown peonies

it’s hard to believe locally grown are still on the market in mid june 💕 but, here they are…the last of ‘em, putting on a little show, so pretty and so pink 💕

this is the first season i really felt something for peonies. maybe it’s love, maybe it’s lust…whatever it is, it’s gone with the wind 💨 see you in 2026, poofy balls of layered petals
