My last round of chemo hit a little harder than usual, but yesterday afternoon marked a turn, and I’m feeling so good to be on the up and up 🤍

I’ve been quietly pouring my heart into a brand new collection inspired by the spirit, textures, and magic of the Indiana Dunes. There’s a special new ornament design I 🤍, alongside some classic footprint and beach scene favorites. Plus one final, limited batch of driftwood + ceramic bowls shaping up in the studio this week. Each piece holds a little extra intention ✨

2027 Pottery Workshops!

I've so missed connecting with you in my in-person workshops during this creatively slower time in my life. BUT--I've been slowly and intentionally planning a new bunch of creative pottery workshops for 2027!

This will be a big focus for Moral Fibers in the new year, with at least two classes planned per month. I'll be continuing my workshop partnership at Willow, and currently looking for a couple new locations to gather with you, as well.

And while January is a tad bit up in the air (I'll be recovering from surgery), we are going full force into Feb, March, + April! I may add a January date, tbd at the moment 😉

Z E R O chemo's left! 🤍🤍🤍

During an illness like this, what looks like strength on the outside often disguises a heavy mix of feelings on the inside—fear, uncertainty, and that constant feeling of being in limbo.

Regardless of the type or stage, when you hear the word cancer, your mind naturally goes to the darkest place. You realize quickly that you have zero control. Is this working? Is it growing? Even if treatment works, will it return? Patience is a virtue, but when it’s your life hanging in the balance, patience feels nearly impossible.

I’ve tried my absolute best to stay positive throughout this fight, and today, I’m truly proud of myself for reaching this milestone. I’m still far from the finish line, but this is a huge step 🤍

And all of that fighting has paid off.

I’m so happy to share that my latest MRI showed "fantastic" results (in the words of my doctor!). My main mass has shrunk so much it can’t even be measured, and the affected lymph node appears clear. I read the report on Friday, but I couldn't fully let myself believe it until I heard those exact words straight from my doctor today.

Cancer teaches you to guard your heart against good news--but right now? My heart is full, my hope is sky-high, and I’m ready for the next phase with my surgical team.

My art and my people have carried me this far, and will continue to. Thank you to everyone who has sent me good vibes, positive energy, prayers, and love from near and far. I am eternally grateful for every single one of you.

One. More. Chemo.

October 19th marks my final session. These past 5 months have felt like both an eternity and a blur. Time is a strange thing when you’re facing a serious illness.

While I’m deeply grateful to reach the end of chemo—it’s been incredibly difficult —I’m also holding space for the fact that the road ahead is long. Upcoming scans will decide what my surgery options look like; the thought of permanent changes to my body is scary, and honestly, not recognizing the person looking back at me in the mirror has been one of the toughest quiet struggles of this whole experience. I miss my hair, and I miss my old self.

Everything is still very much in flux, but I’m focusing on staying positive and taking things one step at a time. After surgery and recovery, there will be years of ongoing medication and symptom management, so right now we're just learning how to navigate that next chapter.

I wanted to take a moment to thank this incredible community. Your kindness has been a massive part of what’s kept me going this year, and I am endlessly grateful for every gentle word and thought.

Since my diagnosis, the lens through which I see the world has shifted entirely. Life has boiled down to what truly matters: how we treat one another, simple acts of kindness, finding a pocket of joy in every single day, even when life's burdens are heavy on your heart. Above all, for me--it’s about intentionally cultivating a life of peace.⁣⁣

If my battle has taught me anything worth passing on, it is this: 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦.⁣⁣

It is okay to walk away from anyone who drains your spirit—even family. It is okay to keep your life sacred and private. It is okay to say no without carrying a drop of guilt. It is okay to change course, to start over, and to live entirely on your own terms. You owe no one an explanation for the path you choose. Some won't understand, and others will judge—let them. Your peace is worth protecting.⁣⁣

I love spending time together during our cozy little workshops ✨

I've decided to take a pause on classes for the rest of the year. My energy level has been unpredictable, and with a major surgery coming up in mid-November, I’m stepping back through the end of the year to focus fully on staying healthy, healing, and rest.

Recovery will give me the space to reset—and to dream up a fresh slate of new workshops for 2027. If there’s something specific you’ve been wanting to make, tell me in the comments! I’ll be using my downtime to plan.

Pottery classes will continue at Willow | Chesterton in the new year, but we’re capping spots at just 8 people to keep them intimate. Drop a comment below if you’d like early notice when new dates are posted.

There's something so timeless about simple, raw materials.
