After my daughter’s doctor appointment, my husband and I decided to take the kids out for lunch at Maggiano’s in the Springfield Mall. It seemed like a great idea—until it wasn’t.

Shortly after we ordered, I realized we were out of baby formula. My husband left to grab some, leaving me alone with all three kids. That’s when chaos broke loose.

My son decided he didn’t like his meal. My daughter, Kaiya, grew bored and restless. And my youngest, Reese, who is teething, started screaming in pain. Suddenly, the peaceful outing I’d hoped for turned into a stressful whirlwind.

I felt overwhelmed, especially knowing the other diners didn’t sign up for our chaos. I tried calming everyone down, but it wasn’t working. Just as I was about to hit my breaking point, one of the restaurant staff walked over.

She didn’t scold or make me feel worse. Instead, she kindly offered to hold Reese and console her so I could finish my meal.

This staff member didn’t have to do that. She went out of her way to show compassion and kindness, and it meant so much to me in that overwhelming moment.

It’s these small, thoughtful gestures that remind us of the goodness in people.

So, my son Jasper and I were on our way home from Vanderbilt and he wanted CiCi's pizza. I found one in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and we stopped to eat.

We were the first customers of the day. Once inside, I noticed an employee sitting alone at a table having lunch. I later learned that her name is Diana and She appeared to have some mental and/or physical challenges.

While we continued to eat our lunch, I noticed that the young manager, Brandon, came by to clean her table and take her plate away. It was then that I saw something that helped restore my faith in humanity. The manager, Brandon, came back to Diana's table with a napkin in hand and gently wiped her face while she just smiled at him.

As a parent of a special needs child I was almost moved to tears by this simple gesture. Just knowing that there are people like this in the world gives me hope. He didn't know that I was watching but, I assure you I made him aware of what I saw and how much it blessed me. His response was 'I just try to treat people the way my grandparents taught me to.'

I think about how often we are quick to share our bad customer service experiences on Facebook. I think that we should be just as quick to share these experiences as well. So, if you're ever in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.... stop in and see Brandon and let him know how thankful you are for people like him.

"My mom has a lot of kids on her street and they put this note on her door after seeing my dad go into her house."
The letter reads:
"Ms. Karren we saw a strange man walk into your house and we would like to know if you are ok. If you are then text me, mom."
They signed it "Love, The [removed for privacy] gang".
"My parents don't live together, and my dad does look strange lol," the son said, adding that his father does look "homeless".
The mother said: "I heard knocking on my door and when I went to answer no one was there but this message was attached to the door. I went out and saw five kids standing in my neighbor's yard and I said did y'all put this here and they said yes ma'am and they said we saw a strange man going into your house and we got worried if you were OK. I just thought it was the sweetest thing ever."

This is a great tip I heard and wanted to share…
Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.
Next time you come home for the night and start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage.
If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the intruder won't stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone.
P.S. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. My friends mom has suggested it to her Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem.
This may save a life!

Last night, I missed my last train home. When I finally got to Euston Station to wait until morning, I found it was locked. Feeling lost and about to cry, I met a homeless man named Mark.

Mark offered to help me, saying it wasn’t safe for me to walk around alone. He took me to a nearby café where we had a coffee and a chat. After some time, he explained he had to leave to get his sleeping bag but promised he would return by 5 a.m. to walk me back to the station.

Honestly, I didn’t believe he’d come back. But when I turned the corner at 5 a.m., there was Mark, running toward me. He had even taken a bus to keep his promise.

This man, someone I might have ignored if he’d asked for spare change, turned what could have been a terrible night into a life-changing experience. Mark, you are truly special. ✅ ❤

This was also the first selfie he ever took!

A young man approached me and asked if I could buy him a gallon of milk. At first, I hesitated, but while paying for my gas, I decided to grab the milk. As I stepped outside, I noticed his girlfriend holding a box of cereal. He thanked me, and I started walking to my car, but something made me turn around.

I asked if he’d like to wash my car for $20, explaining that I was planning to get it done anyway. He agreed, and we headed to the nearest car wash. When I paid him, he teared up, saying how much he appreciated the chance to earn money, especially in front of his girlfriend. He told me it made him feel like a man again.

While he washed, his girlfriend pitched in, beaming with pride at his efforts. The love between them was evident—it wasn’t about money or possessions, but mutual support. When they finished, she praised his work, and he couldn’t stop smiling.

As we talked, he showed me a backpack filled with paperwork from the places they had visited seeking help. Feeling moved, I took them to my apartment complex and gave him some clothes for job interviews, a few outfits, and hats. I don’t have much, but I believe in sharing what I can.

I gave them my number and offered to help with rides to interviews or appointments. It felt good to lend a hand.

This experience reminded me that life can change in an instant, and we never know when we might need help ourselves...

Let’s always strive to be kind and help each other when we can. It’s a great day to be alive, no matter your situation. Someone out there is facing greater challenges, and a little compassion can make all the difference...

Just in case you needed to be reminded….
If you see a small girl wearing a bikini, mind your business.
If you see a big girl wearing a crop top, mind your business.
If you see a girl not wearing a bra, mind your business.
If a girl of any size doesn't fit your definition of beautiful or sexy because she is too “skinny” or too "fat"…. Keep your toxic and rude comments to yourself .
You do not have the right to make anyone feel any less for being a certain size.
Simply mind your business
Every body, no matter what shape or size , is beautiful and should be loved.

I was in the grocery store today. I was looking down at my long list of items when I heard, “ma’am, do you need some help”? I looked up to see this nice young man coming to the aid of an elderly woman. I had passed right by her, too busy to look up. He was so patient as she tried to figure out just exactly what she wanted. This man was not asked, he offered his help. He had no idea his picture was being taken. He was just helping a fellow human being. ❤️

While I was in Liberty I asked this gentleman why he was buying so much milk... let me introduce you to Rick who is retired from the marines. He is buying milk and other groceries to make sure no kid in his neighborhood goes hungry. This was not his first time distributing items. He is not asking for anything in return, he said some of his families will not leave the house to go get the free lunches for the kids or go to the store. Rick is a true hero and I told him good Karma will be coming his way.

"To the Woman in the Salina, KS McDonald's bathroom:
You heard me as I reasoned with a 3 year old to use the bathroom.
You heard me tell her we had a long drive home and she needed to use the potty. You heard her tell me she was scared the toilet would flush while she was sitting on it. I couldn't convince her I would block the sensor and keep that from happening. She promised she could hold it and wouldn't p*e in the car.
Then, you stepped in. You told her you would give her a bracelet if she would go potty for Mommy. She perked up and agreed. I turned to quickly put her on the potty (before she changed her mind). You told her the bracelet would be waiting outside the stall for her. I turned to say thank you, but you were already gone.
Outside the stall was a bracelet and a mini Snickers bar. ❤️
Her eyes lit up as she put the bracelet on after using the bathroom.
We made it home to Wichita safely and she is currently sleeping soundly next to me...still wearing the bracelet.
Thank you for your kindness! I wish I could have thanked you in person, but maybe you will see this. If not, hopefully it inspires someone else to be kind like you were.
Sincerely,
A Grateful Mother" ❤️❤️
