Happy Lammas Day 🙏💜🙏🌻
Otherwise known as Lughnasadh Blessings💜💜💜
This day is a celebration for not only the halfway point between Summer and Fall Solstice, but also marks the first day of harvest. Celebrating wheat and corn harvests. It’s considered a blessing to be able to harvest not only for the blessing which the earth has provided but also the reminder that life is a cycle. Like the wheat we harvest. We plant the seeds, water and tend the plants but eventually the plant must die so we can harvest the grain. A beautiful cycle of life.
Some Magickal practitioners celebrate this holiday by baking a figure of the "corn god" into the bread made from the season's first crop, and then symbolically eating it, as it becomes one with their body & spirit. Ancient magick charms directed that the Lammas bread be broken into four bits, placed at the four corners of the barn, which would then protect the garnered grain.
