I was inspired by the fictional character Frankelda Imelda, the main character from the stop-motion film and series Sustos Ocultos de Frankelda by brothers Arturo and Roy Ambriz.

Frankelda is a Mexican writer from the 19th century. At that time, women were often not taken seriously when writing dark and fantasy stories. That’s why she creates the artistic name “Frankelda,” to give life to her voice and imagination.

This piece, my Potato, was created with the idea of giving visibility not only to women artists and heroines who lived and still live in anonymity, but also to the big impact they have made in the world, even when they are not recognized.

This piece, Sustos Ocultos del Potato, will be exhibited on March 28, 2026 at .studio_ , from 6 to 9 pm ✨

Custom Air Force 1s
A Yollocalli collaboration at North Riverside Mall, celebrating its 50th anniversary.

I had the opportunity to join a group of 30+ Yollocalli artists to customize Nike shoes. They will be on display at the mall until May 31st. ✨

Somos un Momento - Beyond the Underworld.

A story that came to life while designing my custom Nike Air Force 1s for Yollocalli x North Riverside Park Mall’s 50th anniversary.

These shoes, along with work from 30+ Yollocalli artists, will be on display at the mall until May 31, 2026.

2025 Wrapped

Art at the Museum – While I worked at the NMMA during the Day of the Dead season, I had the opportunity to create art pieces that served as examples or guides for workshops using linocut, amate paper, and nicho boxes; help with frame decoration pieces and participate in the paper flower installation on a fence (created by many hands) for the Day of the Dead Xicágo event. I also helped with folding zines for the community in response to ICE raids, and had fun with an exquisite co**se activity with my team.

Each project was shared and guided by my artistic and creative coworkers, who became my teachers through many of these experiences.

I’m beyond happy to have seen so many fellow artists at this event. I love watching everyone’s growth, it’s very inspiring. ☺️✨
