Large vintage Two Grey Hills Navajo rug for sale.
Inherited from my father's collection and ready for its next home. Classic Two Grey Hills design with a stepped central diamond medallion, hooked border elements, and mirrored corner triangles, woven entirely in natural wool tones (black, grey, camel/tan, and ivory).
Details:
• Size: 63" x 93" (approx. 5'3" x 7'9")
• Condition: Very good/excellent — no holes, moth damage, worn areas, snags, or repairs. A couple of small, faint surface spots (visible in close-up photo) that should be easily liftable with professional cleaning. NOTE: I haven't attempted to clean them myself to avoid causing damage.
• Weave: 32 wefts/inch
• Natural undyed handspun wool in classic Two Grey Hills palette. (Black is overdyed.) Tonal variation in the undyed wool is part of the weaving process, not a flaw. NOTE: The gradient appearance in the full rug photos is from the lighting. There is no fading to the actual rug.
• Family history notes a weaver name I have not been able to verify or confirm — happy to share what I know, but I'm not asserting an attribution I can't back up.
Asking $3,200. Local pickup welcome ( Chicago ). Insured shipping for remote buyers can be arranged with shipping cost added separately based on destination (typically $150–300).
Happy to send additional photos or answer questions — serious inquiries only, please. Thank you for looking!
