Brion’s design aesthetic took shape in his childhood. While his father imparted his knowledge of the museum quality Chinese porcelains he had collected Brion accompanied his mother as she crisscrossed the East Coast on the hunt for unique treasures. As a result Brion’s childhood home was filled with handmade English antiques, oriental rugs and interesting objets d’ art. As a young man Brio

n developed a passion for the arts that grew through avid reading and frequent visits to the theater, museums and the symphony. Through extensive travel in Europe and the Far East Brion has cultivated a signature style that is eclectic, classic and clean while maintaining a sense of timeless elegance and sophistication. These travels have also enhanced his appreciation of a wide variety of decorative styles. After working in the design field for several years Brion attended Harrington College of Design and earned his B.F.A. In his years as an interior designer Brion’s style has remained rooted in a classical approach to creating sumptuous, yet highly livable interiors. The client, however, is the ultimate decision maker in any project and Brion works closely with each client to assure that their desired look is achieved. Comfort is key, and Brion gauges the success of a project by an interior that feels as though it is the collection of the homeowner rather than one that is simply decorated. In Brion’s own words, recalling the rich interiors in which he spent his childhood and youth, “It is to grander and greater ends that one invents when one begins with one’s own past.”

I love 🦊. Our home is called Fox Hall and I have a fox as part of my business logo. As such, I like to have fox imagery around. I’d been looking for a long time for a fox piece appropriate for our kitchen when this wonderful vintage cookie mold crossed my path. Kristina got it for me this past Christmas. I adore botanical and animal prints! This is a great opportunity for a little interior design update. Print out a few that look good together, print them on good paper, put them all in the same frame, preferably one with matting, and you now have a great print series for your home.

Went with a mix of English country gentleman and old school preppy for today’s chilled weather. A couple people asked me how I could possibly be warm enough with the clearly not winter coat I was wearing. Poor things have no idea just how warm an original L.L. Bean Norwegian sweater is. The new ones are absolute crap in comparison, do avoid at all costs.

I cannot tell you how many people I've told to keep their old windows for this very reason. The worst aspect of new vinyl windows is that they never look good in older homes.

Tell those replacement window salesmen to go away; fix your old window instead.
