Wow, I can not believe tomorrow is the last day of the year. Im not going to lie, Im ready for some new. Every year has its ups and downs, this year the same.
I think it's crazy to look back and think how, in 2018, I quit my job and decided to start a business in 2019 (who was she?). Then there was a pandemic and a crazy year of proof that it was all worth it in 2021. 2022 into 2023, I refocused myself and had opportunities come my way I could have never dreamed of. Not only opportunities, they become accomplishments - like being on HGTV. Still blows my mind. After that kind of high, I felt a lot of pressure to produce and that I did, but doing it all by myself led to a crazy 2024.
Pro - I had worked with some amazing clients on some bigger projects. I had some situations that were much less than fun while trying to balance all of those things on my own. I realized I really needed help. I wasn't able to grow.
When I really admitted this to myself, I swear I was sent an angel who again offered me an opportunity that I could not say no to. While it was out of my comfort zone, it was life changing this year.
I struggled a lot with breaking free from my title as "designer." I had forgotten who I was outside of this business and career. Im proud of myself for taking the time to remeet myself and live life. I traveled for work and some pleasure. Made so many priceless memories and built stronger relationships with my friends, who have supported me during these last years! I grew. Growth just comes with some pains, though.
I was sent another angel when someone special reached and wanted to intern/shadow/apprentice - whatever you want to call it. With that, I'm excited for the next year ahead and what we will be capable of doing!
I want to start by saying thank you to all of you here. Y'all thugged it out. I want to thank every client or referral or friend that shared my name - I love you. I hope everyone has a great end of the year and a Happy New Year!
